At first site Veals Farm looks like a perfect, attractive, rural site but, as you can see it does not welcome the casual visitor and was therefore difficult to photograph. Peter says: "In the end, I was seen off by one of the dogs... and I'm not going back to take a pretty picture of him!"
The final shot, below, also shows two receiving aerials at the site. By deduction, if the Band II antenna is pointing to Chillerton Down, that means that the MF frame is facing Portsmouth, where Capital Gold-South's other AM site is located. Presumably this provides an RBS (re-broadcast standby) feed for emergencies.
